Influenced by the legendary Australian Contemporary Impressionist art movement of the late 1800's (led by Tom Roberts, Arthur Streeton, Frederick McCubbin and others) R.P. Koster quietly entered the Australian art scene bringing with him his own interpretation of Australian Contemporary Impressionism.

He draws inspiration “from nature and the endless possibilities it offers, from sweeping vistas and rugged beauty to its almost abstract ambiguity”.           Bob Koster
